2019 Subaru WRX STI – 400awhp

Patrick brought us his 2019 Subaru WRX STI to have the EJ257 built, Flex Fuel enabled, and taken to 400awhp! Build setup below:

 

• IAG Performance Stage 2 Tuff EJ257 short block
• ARP 2000 series cylinder head studs
• IAG Performance V2 stainless steel oil pickup
• WRX STI 11mm oil pump
• IAG Performance Street Series air/oil separator
• AEM Intakes air-intake system
• Invidia Exhaust down-pipe connecting to the existing Gemini R400 exhaust system
• Extreme Turbo Systems top-mount intercooler
• Injector Dynamics ID1050x fuel injectors
• Blouch Turbo 20G-XT turbocharger
• NGK Spark Plugs LFR7AIX spark plugs
• Advanced Clutch Technology XTSS clutch
• Advanced Clutch Technology Streetlite flywheel
• COBB Tuning 3-port electronic boost control solenoid
• COBB Tuning Flex Fuel conversion
• All the miscellaneous OEM Subaru gaskets, seals, and components to complete the installation

 

With the mechanical work wrapped up by Dylan in the shop, John strapped her down to the rollers for Vlad to perform a custom calibration via COBB Tuning‘s Accessport V3. With 93 octane in the tank, Vlad increased the EJ257’s output to 385.32awhp & 358.11lbft, and after switching to E85, output jumped to 403.24awhp & 410.14lbft! Nice square setup with usable power all over the rev range!
